Incredible memories ever!!

This is the students from The Royal Academy, currently studying in seventh grade and guess where is this place?................. This place is called Sanga choekhor which is in Paro Dzongkhag. We went there to learn about that lhakhang and the main reason to go there was to learn and listen from the monk about how universe begun and how it will end. In sanga choekhor there is the model of how the universe were created. Actually it is about "Buddhist Cosmology. "

We finally reached there and went inside the lhakhang. There was a monk who explained us about the statue in that lhakhang and the past stories of the statues. He explained us and told the reason why we call that lhakhang as "Sanga Choekhor." After that the monks served us tea and some things to eat with tea.

Our learning experience outside the classroom was great as you can see above. After seeing that water we went to see the model of creation of universe which was outside the lhakhang. It was built great and by that model the monk finally explained us about how the universe was created. I will explain briefly about the creation of universe as I listened from the monk.

Buddhist cosmology is based on two conceptual systems of the structure of universe: first one is called "Kalachakra" and second one is "Abidharmakosha."To tell about the Kalachakra, it is said to have been revealed by buddha when he was 79 years old Amravati in India. The Kalachakra teachings gives a very detailed description of the cosmos and its dimensional measurements. Abidharmakosha was composed by the Indian Buddhist master Lopen Igyen (Vasubandhu) in 4th century AD.
